Veteran comic Mike Epps has returned to Netflix with a special that dives into celebrity culture with witty jokes and commentary.
Premiering Jan 27, Mike Epps: Delusional, marks his fifth stand up special on the streaming giant. The hour-long performance give fans another unfiltered look into his life, his rise to fame, and the everyday moments that continue to inspire his comedy.
Epps’ prior Netflix specials include Ready to Sell Out (2024), Indiana Mike (2022), Only One Mike (2019), and Don’t Take It Personal (2015).
Epps started his stand-up career back in 1995 on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. He appeared in two of the episodes of the groundbreaking series and later, toured as part of the Def Comedy Jam tour. Over the years, he went on to release over six specials, with the others being Under Rated… Never Faded & X -Rated and Inappropriate Behavior.
While his stand-up career grew, the Gary Indiana native expanded his comedy as an actor. An appearance at Los Angeles’ Comedy Store would inspire Ice Cube to cast Epps in Next Friday. Later Epps would star in “How High“, “All About the Benjamins“, “Resident Evil: Apocalypse“ and the big screen version of “The Honeymooners” opposite Cedric the Entertainer.
Recently, he’s starred in and produced Netflix’s The Upshaws, a sitcom about a working-class family, set in his Indiana hometown, which was nominated for 10 NAACP Image Awards, with Epps winning for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series in 2024.
