Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested early Monday morning and charged with misdemeanor trespassing at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida, law enforcement and court records show.
Addison, 23, was taken into custody by the Seminole Indian Police Department at about 3:46 a.m. after casino staff asked him to leave a restaurant several times, according to the incident report. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail at 7:33 a.m. and released around 2:40 p.m. after posting a $500 cash bond.
Incident at Casino Leads to Charges
Police say casino security asked Addison multiple times to exit the Jubao Palace Noodle Bar inside the Hard Rock property. “As the defendant was being escorted out of the building,” the report states, “he repeatedly had to be redirected towards the front exit.”
Authorities described the charge as trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance, a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida law. Officials have not publicly explained why Addison was asked to leave the restaurant.
A representative for Addison said his legal team had already begun an investigation and was reviewing the possibility of a false arrest claim. In a statement, they said the receiver “looks forward to the legal process and, upon full investigation, we are confident Mr. Addison will be exonerated.”
At a season-ending news conference Tuesday, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said the team had only recently learned of the arrest. “I don’t want to speculate on that in any way, shape or form,” O’Connell said. “We have to get as many facts and find out exactly what happened.”
General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah also declined to offer specifics.
Addison’s latest legal entanglement comes as the Vikings weigh long-term roster decisions, including whether to exercise his fifth-year option on his rookie contract.
This is not Addison’s first run-in with the law. In July 2024, he was arrested near Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of driving under the influence and later pleaded guilty to a lesser “wet reckless” charge. The NFL suspended him for the first three games of the 2025 season under its personal conduct policy after that incident.
Before his NFL career, he was cited for driving 140 mph in a 55 mph zone in Minnesota in July 2023, a citation that led to a fine and license revocation.
Despite his off-field issues, Addison has been productive on the field. He finished the 2025 season with 42 receptions for 610 yards and three touchdowns, though those figures were career lows.
His next court date on the trespassing charge has not been announced.
