Misa Hylton, the ex of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has spoken out about recently surfaced footage of Diddy assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie. The video, showing the 2016 incident in a Los Angeles hotel, has sparked widespread condemnation.

Hylton took to Instagram to express her sorrow and support for Cassie. She shared, “I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her. I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma.”

Misa Hylton’s Connection to Diddy

Hylton shares a son, Justin Combs, with Diddy and has been a mother figure to all of Diddy’s children. This includes stepson Quincy Brown, son Christian “King” Combs, and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, who lost their mother, Kim Porter, in 2018.

“These young people were raised by women that want the best for them – we put God and education first and have always been united in our mutual effort to support their dreams. Two of the youngest do not have their mother here and it has been our duty to support them,” Hylton added.

Hylton emphasized that Diddy needs help, saying, “I’m praying that he truly does the personal work and receives it.”

Her sentiments align with others who have criticized Diddy following the video’s release. Figures like Slim Thug, Lil Scrappy, and 50 Cent have also condemned his actions. Additionally, Roger Bonds, Diddy’s former head of security, discussed the mogul’s abusive behavior in a recent interview.

“It didn’t surprise me when I saw it because I’ve seen things to this nature before,” Bonds said regarding the footage. He recounted witnessing Diddy being violent with both Cassie and Kim Porter. “I’ve seen him get physical. I’ve seen him get really physical, grab them up. I’ve seen him get into some wrestling and punching matches and sometimes I felt like, ‘What are you mad at? What are you upset about?’”

On Sunday, Diddy issued an apology for his actions in the video, calling his behavior “inexcusable.” However, Cassie’s legal team dismissed the apology, stating it was self-serving. “Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt,” said Cassie’s attorney, Meredith Firetog. She criticized his delayed apology and highlighted the impact on the victims.
