Montell Jordan is stepping into 2026 cancer free.

On Christmas Day, the “Get It On Tonite” singer took to Instagram to share that he had beaten prostate cancer after a long two year battle.
“Yesterday was Christmas, Jordan said as he began the video. “I got the greatest Christmas gift I could have ever gotten. “My doctors called me yesterday morning to let me know that I am undetectable now and cancer-free following a year of having preparation to have a prostate removed.”
“I am now a 2x cancer survivor,” he continued in the caption.
“This is been a 2 year journey that we have lived and simultaneously documented for a film called SUSTAIN. @sustainthemovie is where you can see updates.”
The film will chronicle his journey, while offering inspiration and awareness to those fighting similar battles. Montell Jordan also added that the upcoming film will be “one of the greatest gifts I have made to humanity.”
Jordan, 57, was first diagnosed with Stage 1 prostate cancer in 2024 following a routine Prostate-Specific Antigen screening. Although it was detected early, it returned in 2025.
Back in September, the “This Is How We Do It” singer appeared on TODAY. He opened up about undergoing targeted radiation and blockers to prevent cancer growth in his lymph nodes. He described the intense seven-and-a-half week treatment as a “temporary interruption” that was necessary to ensure a longer life.
