Oscar winning actor, Morgan Freeman has canceled his current UK Press tour for the Paramount + series Special Ops: Lioness.

According to the Toronto Sun,  the 86-year-old was told by his doctors that he had a “contagious infection” but is “fine now.” The veteran actor stars alongside actors Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman in the new project. Due to his illness, he had been notably absent from the promo tour and was a no-show at the screening on Tuesday (July 11). The upcoming spy thriller series premieres July 23.

He was also supposed to appear with his costars on the BBC program, “The One Show.” His absence was something host Alex Jones  said she was completely “gutted” about.

The news of his health improvement is surely welcomed since his almost-deadly car crash in 2008.
