Michael Jordan is doing it big for the community!
According to Black Enterprise, the NBA legend has opened a healthcare clinic to “serve low-income communities in Charlotte, North Carolina.” The clinic shared the news on Twitter,
“The Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic is open for business! 3149 Freedom Drive Charlotte, NC 28202.”
The mission is to serve the residents of Charlotte residents who are underinsured or uninsured, ”offering primary and preventative care as well as behavioral health and social support services.”

During the ceremony, the six-time NBA champion was very emotional.
“As you can see, it’s a very emotional thing for me to be able to give back to a community that’s supported me over the years.”
He also adds:
“I believe that your ZIP code or neighborhood should not determine the quality of your health care — or whether or not you can even get care at all.”
The CEO and president of Novant Health, Carl Armato says:
“This clinic will not only provide access to medical care for those who need it most, but it will connect them to resources to ensure their health extends beyond the doctor’s office.”
