Ne-Yo Joins The Cast ‘Hell’s Kitchen’

Ne-Yo has been announced as the latest cast member of Alicia Keys’ hit Broadway show “Hell’s Kitchen.” He will officially join the production on Thursday, December 4, and will make his debut on the Broadway stage for the first time in the role of “Davis.”

“I’ve performed on a lot of stages in my life. But making my Broadway debut in “Hell’s Kitchen” is something truly special,” Ne-Yo said. “Alicia created a world that’s real, raw, and full of soul. Stepping into the role of ‘Davis’ lets me explore a whole new side of storytelling. I’m honored to join this incredible cast and creative team, and I can’t wait to bring everything I’ve got to the Shubert Theatre.”

Keys also expressed her excitment about Ne-Yo joining the show.

An acclaimed songwriter, Ne-Yo gained major recognition for penning Mario’s 2004 number-one hit, “Let Me Love You.” He also wrote chart-topping songs for artists like Beyoncé (“Irreplaceable”) and Rihanna (“Take a Bow”).

As a solo artist, his debut album, In My Own Words, and his second album, Because of You, both debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. He is a multiple Grammy Award winner, including Best Contemporary R&B Album for Because of You and two Grammys for his hit single “Miss Independent” from the Year of the Gentleman

Ne-Yo has also appeared in several films and television series, like Stomp the Yard and Step Up: High Water.
