Boston-based supergroup New Edition is teaming up with fellow legends Boyz II Men and Toni Braxton for a major concert run in 2026. The tour, titled The New Edition Way Tour, will begin Jan. 28, 2026, in Oakland, California, and span 30 cities across North America.
Tickets go on general sale Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at 10 a.m. local venue time.
A Fresh Take on the Classics
In the tour announcement video, New Edition bassist and producer Michael Bivins makes a FaceTime call to Boyz II Men, saying, “We can take it to another level.”
Group member Johnny Gill adds: “New Edition and Boyz II Men. We’ve never, all these years, never shared the stage together.”
When the idea of adding “a little feminine energy” came up, longtime solo star Toni Braxton chimed in: “Y’all already know I’m the honorary seventh member… so it’s only right that we hit the road together.”
Organizers say the concept is different from a typical tour. “Here’s the vision: all three of us on the same stage every night — not taking turns, actually performing together,” the trio state in unison. “An original music experience.”
The tour’s name pays homage to New Edition’s cultural roots: in their hometown of Boston a street was officially renamed New Edition Way in recognition of the group’s musical impact.
According to the promoter Black Promoters Collective, this project “represents the spirit of collaboration, excellence, and respect for pristine artistry.”
CEO Gary Guidry adds: “You’re seeing artists who’ve shaped the culture come together to celebrate music that continues to stand the test of time.”
The shows promise an immersive, 360° stage experience where fans are “surrounded by the music, energy and legacy” of three iconic R&B acts.
Highlights will include performances in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, New York, and Atlanta, with the finale set for April 4 in Houston, Texas.
Presales open starting Oct. 27 with codes for American Express cardholders, and special presales for the artists’ fan groups before the general sale begins.
