Eligible residents of New Jersey will be $1,500 richer this week.
A $1,500 stimulus check is slated for distribution on January 10, 2024, according to Marca.
The news comes as part of the ANCHOR Tax Relief Program 2024. The program provides property tax relief to New Jersey residents who own or rent property in New Jersey as their principal residence and meet certain income limits. The current filing season for the ANCHOR benefit is based on 2020 residency, income, and age.
According to the program details, homeowners in New Jersey who owned houses in 2019 and had a combined income of $150,000 or less in 2023 will receive the $1,500 rebate. Additionally, homeowners with family incomes falling between $150,001 and $250,000 will be eligible for a $1,000 benefit. On the other hand, renters with 2019 tax returns showing incomes of $150,000 or less can expect to receive a $450 stimulus check.
