Fans of the late Whitney Houston, can expect new music soon!
It’s been over 6 years since the death of the iconic singer, however Houston’s voice remains a staple in the music industry. According to the JasmineBrand.com, DJ and producer released the new song called “Higher Love.”
The song was originally sung by Steve Winwood in 1986, however Houston’s cover was released in 1990 as a bonus track on her I’m Your Baby Tonight album. At that time, the single was only released in Japan.
Kygo performed “Higher Love” over the weekend during the PrideFest Utopia in New York City.
He says:
“I was honored when the Whitney Houston estate reached out and presented me with the opportunity to work with one of the greatest female vocalists of all time. I reworked the song from scratch and am really happy with how it turned out!”
Houston’s sister-in-law Pat Houston is in support of the record.

We knew Kygo would be the right producer to enhance Whitney’s powerful vocal performance on ‘Higher Love,’ to the standards and expectations that Whitney’s fans have recognized for over three decades.”
