Nicki Minaj Apologizes For Calling Kulture An ‘Ugly Monkey’

Rapping rivals Nicki Minaj and Cardi B took part in an intense social media exchange earlier this week.

The “Starships” rapper reportedly bashed the sales of Cardi B’s new album, “Am I the Drama?”, following its Sept. 19 release in a series of since-deleted X posts, according to Complex and E! News.

Nicki unleashed a tirade at 32-year-old Cardi, attacking her album sales and physical appearance. “Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy / RUNNING TRAINS,” Minaj reportedly wrote. “Barefoot, still smellyyyyy / Still. You. Could. Not. outsell. meeeeee.”

She also mocked a lyric off the new track “Magnet” where Cardi B rapped: “A-B-C-D-E-F-G / these [expletive] can’t [expletive] with me.” Nicki, in her post, allegedly wrote: “Abcdefgeeeeeeee. SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEE.”

The battle took a dark turn when the femcees took aim at each other’s children as Nicki referred to Cardi’s oldest as an “ugly monkey and roach,” leading the latter to hit back with claims the former’s son is “slow” and “nonverbal.”.

Cardi said that Nicki’s son is non-verbal because Nicki “couldn’t put the drugs down”. She also said the only reason Nicki was instigating a fight was because Cardi is pregnant. She wrote: “I seen you at two Met Galas and you never have that energy… BUT WHERE TF YOU AT????

The Pink Friday rapper, seemingly remorseful of her nearly weeklong tirade, took to X late Thursday night (October 2) to offer an apology,

“Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose and one day you’ll understand… you’re a cute child & lots of kids have cute little funny looking gums before they grow into all of their features.” Nicki previously threatened to kick the 7-year-old’s gums “into formation.” She continued, “one day you’ll see this, so I have to say: I apologize…you’re an innocent child and don’t deserve any of this.”

Nicki also suggested accountability for others involved, stating: “One day your mother, aunt & many more will be brought to their knees for what they’ve said AND TRIED to do to my young prophet/beautiful boy. Take care my darling. This isn’t who I am.”
