Abimbola “Abel” Osundairo, one of the Osundairo brothers allegedly involved in Jussie Smollett’s racist attack, just made another name for himself as the Chicago Golden Gloves boxing champion.
The Chicago Tribune reports Abel took his title during the “city’s preeminent amateur boxing tournament” after winning the senior novice division at the 178-pound limit.
Tonight at the Chicago Golden Gloves Finals — Abimbola “Abel” Osundairo overpowered his opponent from the start.
After the match he told me he’s just boxing for fun, training 5 days a week.

Emmy Award-winning journalist Stephanie Wash caught the match and spoke with Osundairo after he hit fans with his one-two punch. And though he’s winning titles, Abel says he only boxes “for fun.”
“After the match he told me he’s just boxing for fun, training 5 days a week,” he told Wash, who noted he didn’t want to talk about anything other than the night’s events.
Abel’s family, including brother Ola, and Gloria Schmidt, the attorney who initially repped the Nigerian brothers in the Jussie Smollett case, were in attendance.
