After what seemed to be an indefinite hiatus, Normani has a new team and new music on the way.
According to Rolling Stone, the former Fifth Harmony member is now being managed by Brandon Creed and Lydia Asrat. She previously had a solo management deal with S10 Entertainment, whom she partnered with in 2017.
The new managers both come with R&B and pop experience. Creed’s roster includes Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars, among others. Asrat, a Forbes 30 Under 30, is the cofounder and CEO of 10Q Management. She co-managed Doja Cat from 2017 until March 2022 and now manages Coco Jones and others.
“With new music on the horizon, and Asrat now at the helm of her career, she and the rest of her team are extremely excited to embark on this partnership,” a rep for Normani told the magazine.
An exact date for new music hasn’t been officially announced, however it is expected to land sometime soon. In June, Normani collaborated with speaker brand, Bose to promote two products and tease a new song, “Candy Paint,” featured in a one-minute ad.
Since the release of Normani’ single, “Wild Side,” which was awarded a BET Soul Train Award, the singer has laid low musically. She did an interview in 2021 with Entertainment Tonight, hinting that her album would be released the following summer. But to-date, she has released only two singles “New To You” and “Fair.” The former output is a collaboration with Calvin Harris, Tinashe and Offset.
