A New York City couple is suing a restaurant after they claimed they found a rat in their soup.
According to reports, the customers, Eunice Lucero- Lee and Jason Lee have since filed a lawsuit against the restaurant and spoke on the incident during a recent interview. “At first my husband thought it was a vegetable, but then we noticed the tail,” Eunice said.
She added that they were already eating their meal before they noticed that something was wrong. The couple stated that they had their meal delivered to them from Uber Eats and has since called the restaurant out on social media.
The restaurant has refuted the allegations in the comment section of the customer’s post. “Hi. This is Gammeeok. We are sorry for this situation,” they wrote. “What is posted on SNS is not the truth. We have been regularly inspected every two weeks by a disinfection company for several years, and there have been no traces of mice. They demanded money and threatened us, and since we refused, they are attacking us through social media. Therefore, we plan to take legal action.”
The message goes on to say, “When we transferred the soup, we served it four times with a ladle while the staff watched it with their eyes. If there was a mouse that big, there’s no way I wouldn’t [sic] have missed it. There is also a video recording of the recording process. We checked the whole process of making the soup, but we couldn’t find any problems.”
Eunice also claims that her husband had to go to urgent care after vomiting, where he was prescribed medication for his injuries. This is an ongoing legal matter and the couple’s lawyer stated that he has “no further comments at this time.” Thoughts?
