On the first day of Black History Month and just days before the Super Bowl, a mural of Colin Kaepernick was destroy in Atlanta. Fabian Williams, the artist who painted the mural, posted the video to his Instagram account saying that “the timing is mad suspicious.” Watch the video below.
Kaepernick, former NFL player, became a voice for racial injustice when he began to kneel as a form of protest during the US national anthem before every game. Due to this protest, it has led other NFL players to also follow suit.
The mural was of Kaepernick wearing an Atlanta Falcons uniform, which was painted on an abandoned building in 2017, the same year that Kaepernick left the San Francisco 49ers.
There is no word as to who destroyed the mural.
