One Of The Former Cops Charged In George Floyd’s Death Wants All Charges Dropped

The death of George Floyd still has the nation upset and the cops involved are currently fighting for their freedom.

One of the cops, Tou Thao, believes that the charges against him should be dropped claiming that he had no idea that his fellow cops were going to kill Floyd.

Court documents cite that Thao’s attorney, Robert M. Paule is arguing the fact that prosecutors failed to show that Thao has any acknowledgment that Derek Chauvin and the other two officers were going to commit a crime.

Thao’s defense team is requesting that all of the charges against him be dropped by the next court hearing taking place on September 11th.

George Floyd was killed on May 25th, after a former police officer, Derek Chauvin held his knee on Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes. He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Tou Thao along with Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Keung was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting murder and manslaughter on June 3rd.
