Eight years after bidding farewell to airwaves, Oprah Winfrey admits she’s thought about a talk show reboot.
The legendary talk show host is on tour in Toronto, Canada to promote her new book, The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life’s Direction and Purpose, and spoke to ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey about “aha” moment and the day her path in the world was made clear.
“My path became clear the moment, I remember it actually, when I flew into Chicago,” she said. “I thought, ‘If the show isn’t successful, then I’m going to go into advertising.’”
As she reminisced about her days on air, Hickey asked if fans can get her back on daytime television. Surprisingly, she said it’s not a bad idea.
“I would love to make that happen, let me tell you. But maybe not every day,” said Oprah. “For 25 years, it was perfect.”
She continued, “The only time I missed it was during the election or when something really big happens in the news. I think, ‘Oh, gee, I wish I had a show.’”
As for what hat “aha” story will mark her return, fans will have to wait and see.
