As controversy surrounding director Dan Reed’s recently-debuted Michael Jackson documentary, Leaving Neverland, continues to roar, Oprah prepares to sit down with two men – James Safechuck and Wade Robson – who claim the late pop star sexually abused them.
Winfrey is slated to interview Safechuck and Robson – who previously testified on behalf of Jackson’s defense – in a HBO special, Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland.
The exclusive interview will air after the two-part documentary concludes Monday, Mar. 4.
HBO gives insight into the special, saying, “The special will be a conversation hosted by Winfrey, featuring James Safechuck and Wade Robson, the two men who accuse Jackson of molesting them as children. During the special, Winfrey will interview Robson and Safechuck in front of an audience of sexual abuse survivors and others who have been impacted by such violence. Winfrey will also be joined by the documentary’s director, Dan Reed.”
Oprah’s sit-down will air simultaneously on HBO and OWN.
