Pharrell Williams is contuining his work at Louis Vuitton and now was tapped an athletic legend to bring on board. LeBron James has been appointed as the face of LV’s fashion house’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
James shared the news on social media with a post of his new campaign images.
“LOUIS VUITTON BRON! LV Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 coming soon! LET’S GO!!!!,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
The new collection debuted at Louis Vuitton’s pop-up shops in New York and Los Angeles.
Aside from the new collection, Williams has recently caught heat about the brand’s Millionaire Speedy Bag. Priced at $1,000,000, the bag uses crocodile as it’s main material and PETA was not too happy about it.
“When you were made men’s creative director of Louis Vuitton, we hoped animals would get lucky and that you would choose vegan fabrics, which are the preference of today’s ethical and environmentally conscious consumers,” Lisa Lange,PETA Senior VP, wrote in an open letter.
“But we aren’t happy to note your newest design, the ‘Millionaire’ Speedy bag, which is crafted from crocodile skin, because when it comes to animals being used for fashion, it isn’t beautiful — it’s abuse,” she continued.
