Diddy earns a small win in his legal case after a judge ruled that the notes were confiscated during the raid of his jail cell must be destroyed.
We reported that Diddy’s jail cell was raided by the feds at the MDC Brooklyn detention center which 19 pages of handwritten notes by him were confiscated. However, prosecutors have argued that the raid was justified and they cited that Diddy was alleging was influencing witnesses and potential jurors while in custody.
Diddy’s legal team challenged the search and said that the notes had “privileged legal material and that their seizure was a violation of his rights.” After Judge Arun Subramanian heard both sides, the defense won their case.
Judge Subramanian said that the prosecutors must “get rid of them” pertaining to the notes that were confiscated and will be barred until a final ruling is made regarding their admissibility. Prosecutors have denied targeting the material during the raid. Diddy’s attorney said the incident is an “act of breach of trust and an infringement on the rights of his client.”
This raid comes as Diddy is being accused of trying to intimidate witnesses while he is incarcerated. What are your thoughts on this?
