Samuel L. Jackson:
During Samuel L’s conversation with Rolling Stone , he says he sees former President Donald Trump as the “same rednecks” who yelled racist slurs at him as a kid. Samuel said quote, “When I grew up in segregation, I knew which white people didn’t want to be bothered with me, and I knew how they felt about me.” Samuel’s Trump criticism came in response to a question about serving as an usher at the funeral of Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. Samuel had a new series on Disney + called “Secret Invasion” which is out now.
Ike Jr.:
Tina Turner’s 64 YO son, Ike Jr. was arrested and charged with crack cocaine possession and tampering with evidence. He was pulled over in Texas because his headlight or taillight was out. A subsequent investigation led to the officers seizing 1.7 grams of crack cocaine and .7 grams of methamphetamine when they noticed Ike Jr. attempting to eat the drugs before officers could seize them from him. he’s currently detained and bail is set at $70,000.
Babyface x Anita Baker:
In a follow up to last week’s controversy, Babyface speaks out after he got the boot from Anita Baker’s tour. He’s letting it be known there’s no bad blood on his end. During a recent interview, Babyface revealed he’s working on his own solo headlining tour. He didn’t release details as of yet but Babyface said quote, “We’re putting something together ’cause everybody’s asking for it. So, let’s do that.” If Babyface has any special guests on his tour, who do you think it should be? Missy Elliot:
Missy Elliot is reminding people it’s okay to not be okay. During a cover story with Essence, Missy spoke on a dark time in her life after her Graves’ disease diagnosis Going thru this helped her realize she didn’t have to be strong and put together all the time. Missy said quote, “Now I’m fine with being like, ‘Hey, I got anxiety’ or ’I went through depression. Even the biggest artist, or just the regular everyday working person, we all go through s—. R. Kelly:
R Kelly claims he’s scared for his life behind bars. In new audio footage, R Kelly tells an unidentified male of the mistreatment he was allegedly subjected to in reference to blood clots that were found in his leg which resulted in surgery on his Achilles tendon back in March. R Kelly had the surgery at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center, but things didn’t go well according to the singer. He claims before the procedure, he didn’t have an x-ray. R Kelly also said he doesn’t want to die in jail, he wants to leave Earth from natural causes. He said quote, “I’m scared for my life. I almost died. They treat animals better than that.” He’s currently serving a 30-year prison sentence.
Queen Latifah x Dione Warwick:
