R. Kelly is ready to take legal action against a few parties while he is behind bars. The R&B singer has made claims that federal prison officials leaked his private information to internet blogger, Tasha K.
Kelly has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, several Bureau of Prisons workers and Tasha K. He alleges all three parties of working together to publicize his private information while he was in Chicago for his case. Kelly says that the unnamed workers accessed email correspondence, private calls and visitor logs of Kelly while he was detained there.
In the lawsuit, Kelly’s lawyer Jennifer Bonjean states that they believe the officials had an agreement with Tasha K to supply her with Kelly’s information. Subsequently, Tasha K published the information he says has hurt his rep, invaded his privacy and caused him undue emotional distress.
Kelly says the U.S. government was negligent in allowing its prison personnel to allegedly access and distribute his information.
