Ray J checked himself into a Las Vegas hospital following a celebrity boxing event that ended with a brutal knockout loss over the weekend, according to multiple reports.

The singer and reality television personality, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., reportedly sought medical attention hours after the match against internet personality Supa Hot Fire. The bout took place during Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 14 event at UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Reports said Ray J remained hospitalized for at least two days while doctors monitored his condition and conducted tests. Medical staff were reportedly examining possible concussion symptoms and concerns involving a slowed heart rate.

The match drew widespread attention online after Ray J was knocked down early in the second round. Videos circulating on social media showed the entertainer collapsing after taking a heavy punch from Supa Hot Fire, whose real name is DeWayne Stevenson.

Questions Surrounding the Fight

The event generated controversy almost immediately after the knockout.

During a post-fight interview, Ray J appeared frustrated and suggested the fight did not unfold as expected. “I thought we had a plan,” he said while discussing the outcome. “Both of us lost a lot of money.”

The remarks fueled speculation online about whether the exhibition had been partially staged. Event organizer and streamer Adin Ross later addressed the controversy during a livestream.

“We’re taking that s— seriously,” Ross said while discussing accusations connected to the event.

Ross also acknowledged unusual moments during the fight, including a first round in which little action occurred before the sudden knockout in Round 2.

Neither Ray J nor Stevenson publicly expanded on the allegations Monday.

Ongoing Health Concerns

The hospitalization follows months of public health struggles for Ray J.

Earlier this year, the entertainer revealed he had been dealing with severe heart complications following a previous hospitalization for pneumonia and chest pain. In emotional social media posts, Ray J spoke candidly about his condition and past substance abuse.

“My health is not okay,” Ray J said earlier this year. “I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me.”

In January, Ray J claimed doctors warned him his heart function had significantly weakened. He later said he was attempting lifestyle changes to improve his condition.

Despite those concerns, Ray J trained publicly for the fight and promoted the matchup heavily across social media in recent weeks. Pre-fight tensions escalated after Stevenson appeared at a promotional event wearing a shirt featuring Kim Kardashian, Ray J’s former partner.

Ray J rose to fame in the late 1990s through music, acting and reality television. He is also known as the younger brother of Grammy-winning singer Brandy.

Representatives for Ray J have not released an official statement regarding his current condition.
