Ray J is facing fresh legal trouble after American Express filed a lawsuit accusing of him of failing to pay credit card debt.
TMZ reports that the “Sexy Can I” singer owes AMEX $78,704.56 in unpaid charges. Now they are suing him for breach of contract. The subpoena also named Rajun Cajun Inc., a company allegedly connected to Ray J.

The new case adds to Ray J’s mounting legal issues. Just months ago, American Express sued him and his company Tronix Network for $139,849.85 in unpaid credit card bills. According to the court filings, AMEX claims that payments stopped in May 2025.
His credit card debt only adds to his legal drama. The “I Hit It First” singer is also caught up in another dispute involving his former girlfriend Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner.
Ray J has alleged that Kardashian and Jenner conspired to release the infamous 2007 sex tape featuring him and Kim in order to boost her publicity. Both Kardashian and Jenner have strongly denied the accusations.
In court documents, Kardashian called the claims “a lie,” rejecting the notion that she and her mother orchestrated the tape’s release or manipulated legal action surrounding it.
Jenner also fired back, accusing Ray J of terrorizing her daughter for years following the end of their relationship.
Meanwhile, the RayCon entrepreneur has been dealing with personal health concerns after revealing a cardiomyopathy diagnosis, adding another layer to an already turbulent period.
