Ray J has fans concerned after he performed with a heart monitor and blood coming out of his eyes.
The singer appeared at “An Intimate Valentine’s Day Concert” in Shreveport, Louisiana on Saturday (Feb. 14) when fans noticed the few concerning details.
A video from the show circulated over the weekend where Ray J appears to have red liquid dripping from his eye as he sings. The 45-year old was wearing black shades but red the red substance rolled down his cheek. It is unclear if it was a real injury or a stage effect.
Additionally, fans noticed that the “One Wish” singer had bandages on his chest. Some suspected that this site was where he may have recently had a heart monitor or another cardiac-related device.
He has yet to address the concerns.
The observation arrives weeks after Ray J shared a troubling update regarding his health. In January, he told fans that he was taking eight medications as he dealt with serious heart problems.
“I want to thank everybody for praying for me,” the singer said in the live video. “I was in a hospital. My heart’s only beating like 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right. So, thank you for all your prayers. What a way to start this thing off.”
“My health is not OK, so I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me through everything I’ve been in the hospital.”
Ray J also told fans, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”
The “Sexy Can I” singer was admitted to a hospital in Las Vegas on Jan. 7, TMZ first reported, due to severe pneumonia and heart pain. A source close to Ray J told the outlet the singer underwent X-rays and an echocardiogram, but did not reveal any results.
“He’s in the hospital for pneumonia, but it’s not the contagious kind,” the musician’s longtime manager, David Weintraub, told PEOPLE at the time. “[The doctors] wanted to keep him there a couple extra days to watch him.”
