Report: Frank Ocean Pulls Out Of Coachella Week 2

According to a report by TMZ, Frank Ocean has pulled out of his Coachella performance for the festival’s second weekend. The singer has been promoted as the headliner for this year’s festival since his 2020 performance for the festival was canceled due to the pandemic.

For the first weekend, fans were disappointed because not only was his performance not streamed online, the performance was cut short. Ocean was also over an hour late for the performance.

After the performance, it was revealed that Frank Ocean sustained an ankle injury earlier that day. The entire set had to be changed the day of. It was reported that the set was supposed to be a large ice skating rink with hockey players. Due to the instability of an ice floor, the idea had to be scrapped because of the possibility of making his injury worse.

In a statement, Frank’s reps say, “After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1. Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity.”

“On doctor’s advice, Frank is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg,” it continued.

Festival goers are now wondering who will headline this Sunday instead. Blink 182 had a great return to the stage and could be a great contender. Bad Bunny is also eyed to end up being the headliner for the weekend.
