Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger was released Tuesday from the Montgomery County Detention Center after serving roughly six months behind bars stemming from her 2024 DUI case, according to local outlets and jail officials.
Huger, 62, began her sentence in late February after a judge imposed a two-year term with one year suspended, effectively requiring 12 months in custody. Her early release aligns with standard credits for good behavior and participation in rehabilitation programs, outlets reported.
The Bravo personality’s incarceration followed a March 2024 solo crash in Potomac involving her Maserati. Body-camera footage publicized after the incident showed Huger appearing intoxicated and disoriented; a jury later convicted her on multiple charges including DUI and negligent driving.
Huger was also ordered to pay fines, and reporting this week indicated she is barred from driving for a year post-release as part of the case’s conditions.
