Rihanna’s home in Beverly Hills was targeted when a woman who allegedly fired multiple rounds at her mansion.
According to ABC 7 in Los Angeles, police officers came to the home around 1:15 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Per reports, a woman in her 30s had parked her vehicle outside the property and discharged what appeared to be an AR-15 style assault rifle. The shots hit the estate’s gate and sent at least one bullet through a wall of the mansion.
At the time of the shooting, Rihanna was present with her partner A$AP Rocky. It is not known if any of their children were at home.
Law enforcement officials moved quickly, tracking the suspect’s vehicle—a white Tesla—to the Sherman Oaks Galleria, roughly eight miles from the scene. The dispatch audio revealed that officials are heard saying the suspect’s Tesla was followed by an LAPD helicopter into a mall parking garage.
Eventually, she was “pulled over and detained by patrol units.” The suspect was taken into custody without further incident, and the weapon used in the attack was recovered by law enforcement. Her name has not yet been released to the public.
While sources indicate that Rihanna was inside the home at the time of the shooting, she was not harmed in the shooting.
The “Distrubia” singer’s home is located in the larger Beverly Crest area, which is approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
RIHANNA’S HOME WAS PREVIOUSLY ATTACKED IN 2018
The New York Times reported that this was not the first time that Rihanna’s home had been attacked by assailants. Her mansion in the Hollywood Hills was broken into twice in 2018.
Rihanna and A$AP share three children: 3-year-old RZA Athleston, 2-year-old Riot Rose, and Rocki Irish Mayers, who is 5 months old. According to PEOPLE, Rihanna reportedly purchased the home in December 2020.
