RIP: O.J. Simpson Passes Away At 76

O.J. Simpson has reportedly passed away. 

According to reports, the football legend turned actor, was battling cancer before succumbing to the disease. His death was confirmed on X (formerly known as Twitter), by his family. “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family.”

Simpson was allegedly battling prostate cancer for years and his health took a turn for the worse which landed him in hospice care. 

O.J. Simpson had a storied football career. He won the Heisman trophy from USC and played for the Buffalo Bills. He would also act in multiple movies, TV shows, and commercials. However, in 1995, Simpson became known for standing trial for the double murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman. He would later be acquitted of all charges. 

Simpson was surrounded by his children and grandchildren when he passed away on Wednesday night. We will keep his family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
