RIP: WNBA Star Tiffany Jackson Passes Away At 37

This is so sad. Former WNBA star Tiffany Jackson has reportedly passed away from cancer at the age of 37.

She played in the league for nine years after being drafted in 2007. Jackson was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. According to reports, Jackson, who passed away on October 3rd, was a three-time All-Big 12 selection and she was voted freshman of the year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association in 2004.

After she graduated from the University of Texas, Jackson ranked in the top five in career rebounds, points, and steals. She is the only player to reach 1,000 points and rebounds, 300 steals and 150 blocks during her career.

Her former coach, Jody Conradt released a statement about Jackson. “Tiffany had a great career and was an impact player. She was recognized for her all-around game and the fact that she was tremendously mobile and could play multiple positions. She was beloved by teammates and we share in the sadness of her passing.”

Many of her fans, former coaches, and teammates all paid tributes to their friend. LaJeanna Howard, the head coach at Duncanville High School said, “Today we lost a XPantherette Tiffany Jackson. She was an amazing mother, daughter, friend, teammate and role model for so many. Our prayers are with the Jackson family during this time.”

We will continue to keep Tiffany Jackson’s family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
