Rob Reiner And His Wife Michele Found Dead In Los Angeles Home

Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles home. Rob was 78 and Michele was 70.

According to PEOPLE, the couple was killed by their son, Nick, after speaking with several family members. As of the writing, police have not yet confirmed the account.

Authorities responding to a medical aid call around 3:30 p.m. discovered their bodies.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” the Reiner family said.

When the devastating news went public, tributes poured in on social media honoring Reiner.

Barack Obama wrote, “Together, he and his wife lived lives defined by purpose. They will be remembered for the values they championed. And the countless people they inspired.”

“This is a devastating loss for our city and our country,” Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement. “Rob Reiner’s contributions reverberate throughout American culture and society. He has improved countless lives through his creative work and advocacy fighting for social and economic justice.”

The Lear Family is devastated by the deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner,” the family’s statement read. “Norman often referred to Rob as a son, and their close relationship was extraordinary, to us and the world.”

The son of comedy legend Carl Reiner and singer Estelle Lebost, Rob became a star in the classic sitcom “All in the Family.”

He directed blockbuster films such as The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally..., Stand By Me, and This is Spinal Tap

Reiner and Singer married in 1989. They have three children: Jake, Nick, and Romy.

He previously married actor-director Penny Marshall, from 1971 to 1981. Reiner adopted her daughter, Tracy Reiner.
