After it was announced that Robin Thede’s show “A Black Lady Sketch Show” was canceled, the creator decided to help those in need.
According to reports, Thede has donated the entire wardrobe from the show to a non-profit organization that services homeless women.
Social media star Shirley Raines went to social media to reveal that Thede had donated the entire wardrobe to her organization, Beauty 2 The Streetz.
“Got a call from @hbo, @ablackladysketchshow ended after four seasons and they donated ALL OF THE wardrobes, shoes, purses, wigs, lashes, and more to us,” Raines wrote.
She continued, “They also delivered the very next day to our warehouse. Thx u Robin Thede @robinthede.”
Thede would reshare the post and say, “Thank you to @beauty2thestreetz for your life changing work! I hope these pieces (most were worn once or never even worn!) help so many people! I am so grateful for @lindamorel and my @ablackladysketchshow family who made this incredible donation happen! It was so important to us that we turn the end of our show into a new beginning for others.”
