We all know rapper 50 Cent is known for poking fun at his fellow peers in the entertainment industry. And sometimes he gets checked… well according to him. In his new book, “Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter,” he reveals that Gayle King confronted him about his comments towards her best friend Oprah Winfrey. He reveals that this all took place at Bette Midler’s foundation.
He says:
“Gayle is the real deal — a very sophisticated, secure, and smart lady. She’s never afraid of a situation…so she marched right up to me and basically said, ‘Why you talkin’ sh*t about my girl?’”
This all stemmed from the time 50 expressed that Winfrey had an “older audience,” after criticizing the hip hop community on her talk show. According to TheJasmineBrand.com, 50 tells King:
“Listen, I’d love to be Oprah’s friend. But if we can’t be friends, could we at least be enemies? Before meeting me, they had bought into the 50 Cent persona…Someone who got into beefs and drama because he just couldn’t help himself. But when I said, ‘At least let me be an enemy,’ they understood that when I got into a beef, it was never driven by emotion. Instead, I was moving off of strategy.”
Okay Gayle!!
