Sending love and light to Scottie Pippen and his family.
The NBA legend shared the heartbreaking news that his eldest son, Antron, passed away at 33 years old. Scottie revealed the information online and said his son had chronic asthma.
On Twitter, Scottie penned a few words about his son. He said,
“I’m heartbroken to share that yesterday; I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron. The two of us shared a love for basketball, and we had countless conversations about the game.”

In another Tweet, he asked fans for prayers. “A kind heart and beautiful soul gone way too soon.” Take a look:

In another message, Scottie talked more about his son’s health condition. He said if his son didn’t have chronic asthma, he could have made it to the NBA. Antron played ball in college. He was a guard at Texas A&M International University and signed with the Upstate Heat in the World Basketball Association in 2013.
Yahoo notes, Scottie Pippen has had eight children. One of his twin daughters died nine days after being born in 1994.
