NBC News reporter Tom Winter says the packages were “immediately identified during routine screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such.”
He went on to say, “The concern is that that package may resemble of be similar to the device that was found at George Soros home just a few days ago.”
For those unaware, George Soros is a Hungarian-American investor and political activist who recently received an explosive device in his mailbox. The device was a “pipe about six inches long filled with explosive powder, and it was ‘proactively detonated’ by bomb squad technicians.”
According to NBC News, “The Secret Service has initiated a full scope criminal investigation that will involve all the necessary federal, state, and local officials.”
