Serena Williams Says She Didn’t Shade Drake At The Super Bowl

Serena Williams finally speaks on her part during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance, which has been called one of the “shadiest performances.” 

Lamar was declared the winner in his beef with Drake and even had Williams crip walk during “Not Like Us,” which went viral. Fans quickly believed that it was a shady dig at Drake, however, Williams is saying otherwise.

In an interview with Time Magazine, the 23-time Grand Slam champion cleared up the speculation from fans. “Absolutely not. I would never do that. And that was sad that anyone could ever think that. I respect how they could. Obviously, I can see how someone would think that. But absolutely not.”

Although she clarified that her appearance at the Super Bowl was not a diss to her ex-boyfriend, fans online are not buying her explanation. See some of the comments below.
