After giving fans an endless amount of funny catch phrases to live by, Shannon Sharpe has announced that he will be leaving Undisputed.
According to reports, Sharpe settled on a buyout agreement with Fox Sports in which he will host his last show once the NBA Finals end.
No statement has been made about Sharpe’s decision to leave the show. Fans have been speculating that this move has been brewing for some time.
Back in December 2022, Sharpe and his co-host Skip Bayless, got into a heated exchange after Bayless accused the Hall of Famer of being jealous of Tom Brady because he was playing at age 45 and Sharpe retired at 35.
Bayless also said that Brady “was way better” than Sharpe. Social media quickly stood with Sharpe and called Skip for crossing the line.
This isn’t the first time that the two hosts got into a heated exchange. Earlier this year, the two went back and forth over a tweet that Bayless made after Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field while playing against the Cincinnati Bengals.
He wrote, “No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game- but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome… which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”
The following morning, Shannon Sharpe did not appear on the show, leaving Bayless to host the show by himself. He would return on Wednesday to address Skip Bayless and to say that he disagreed with him.
