The “TODAY” show announced on Tuesday that Sheinelle Jones will co-host the fourth hour of the network’s flagship morning show alongside Jenna Bush Hager, per NBC.

The new show will debut under its new title, TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle, on January 12.

“This marks an exciting new chapter for the fourth hour,” “TODAY” executive vice president Libby Leist and Jenna & Friends executive producer Talia Parkinson-Jones said in a statement. “Jenna and Sheinelle are two extraordinary talents who have grown within the ranks of TODAY. They are beloved for their authenticity, warmth and genuine connection with our ‘TODAY’ audience.”

The announcement arrives after the show went through a series of rotating guests and “first dates” on live TV.

A year ago, Hoda Kotb, a beloved mainstay of NBC News’ “TODAY” for almost two decades, departed from the show. Kotb, however, has remained at NBC in various roles, including hosting “TODAY’s” podcast “Making Space” and co-anchoring the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Jones will become the fourth hour’s permanent co-host following Kotb left the show.

The show has seen various celebrities guests as co-hosts alongside Bush Hager, since Kotb’s departure. Those who co-hosted “Jenna and Friends” include: Michelle Obama, Tyra Banks, Andy Cohen, Scarlett Johansson and Jones.

Jones has been part of NBC News for more than a decade, building a reputation for standout interviews, memorable lifestyle segments, and the viral Halloween performances that have seen her transform into Beyoncé, Tina Turner, and more. She also returned to work last September after the death of her husband, Uche Ojeh, who passed away from brain cancer in May.

Along with Jones, Uche is survived by their oldest son, Kayin, twins, son Uche, and daughter Clara.
