Sherri Shepherd loves her body and doesn’t care what people have to say.
In an interview with HelloBeautiful, Shepherd “commented on ageist reactions to her fashion sense.”
“You tell me, ‘You’re not supposed to be wearing that, Auntie.’ Yes, I am, and yes, I will,” she said.
Shepherd also shared how much she “loves showing off her figure, especially in dresses.”
“I love my beautiful legs, and I go out, and I show them legs off,” she said. “Yes, I don’t care.”
She also said how much she loves wearing different wigs that accentuate her look.
“I don’t wear it because I’m trying to be something I’m not, but I wear it because I’m a Black woman,” Shepherd explained. “And I like things different. I like adventure. I love to try new things.”
Back in August 2025, Shepard shared a message about the importance of loving who you are.
“The lines around my mouth are deep because of the laughter from my soul,” she said. “My eyes are droopy because of the weight of tears I have shed. I have two chins because I have had to hold up anxiety, worry & beautiful memories. My lips turn downward, but they quickly turn upwards with joy. And my nose gets fuller every year because I need to breathe in a lot of peace.”
Shepherd has also been open about dealing with perimenopause.
“My anatomy is still playing tricks on me,” she said on an episode of Sherri. “Like, every time I go to the doctor, and I think we’ve got it figured out, something else comes up.”
After four seasons in syndication, Shepherd’s daytime talk show Sherri aired its final episode on May 21, 2026. Originally launched in 2022 as the successor to The Wendy Williams Show, the series was canceled due to the shifting daytime television landscape and rising production costs.
