Snoop Dogg is airing out his issues with The Grammys.
On his social media, the rapper revealed that he has the most nominations with no wins. In the photo he posted it says, “Snoop Dogg has been nominated for 16 Grammys, but he has never taken home the prize.”
According to reports, Snoop is one of four rappers who has never won a Grammy, despite having 16 nominations. Other rappers who have never won a Grammy include Travis Scott (10), Busta Rhymes (12) and Nicki Minaj (12).
Snoop received four nominations for Best Rap Song in 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2011 and another four for Best Rap Performance in 1992, 1993, and two in 1999.
The “What’s My Name” rapper shared his post hours after Jay-Z criticized the award show while accepting the Dr.Dre Global Impact Award. During his speech he pointed out the fact that his wife, Beyoncé, has the most Grammy awards of any artist but has never won Album of the year.
“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year,” Jay-Z said. “So even by your own metrics that doesn’t work. Think about that. Most Grammys, never won Album of the Year, that doesn’t work.”
Snoop Dogg shared the clip while congratulating Jay-Z on his win.
