NBA standout Stephen Curry has officially entered a multi-year agreement with Google, accepting the role of “Performance Advisor” and committing to a collaboration that spans Google Health, Pixel, and Google Cloud services. The announcement came during today’s Made by Google event, positioning the four-time NBA champion at the crossroads of wellness innovation and smart technologies.

As part of the strategic partnership, Curry and his team are working directly with Google’s health, product, and AI engineers. He will offer critical feedback to refine the company’s upcoming personal health coach—a feature powered by Fitbit and Gemini that delivers tailored workout and wellness routines.

Rick Osterloh, SVP of Platforms & Devices at Google, said, “This hands-on work has already begun, with Stephen and his team of experts working with our health experts … giving us incredibly valuable feedback.” Curry will also help drive product design, improve algorithms, and shape future hardware features at Google.

Immersed in the Google Ecosystem

The deal requires Curry and his team to adopt Google’s hardware platforms. They will integrate Pixel phones, Pixel Watches, and Pixel Buds into their daily lives for communication, training, and productivity. Additionally, Curry is leveraging Google Cloud’s AI Basketball Coach to analyze his shot accuracy and train student athletes more effectively.

At his recent Curry Camp—a three-day elite youth training event—Google showcased its AI Basketball Coach powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro. There, athletes received biomechanical feedback on their jump shots and had a hands-on experience with Pixel devices.

Google frames the partnership not as a standard celebrity endorsement, but a deep, long-term collaboration rooted in product innovation. Curry’s input is meant to enhance features for everyone, showing how elite athlete insights can lead to better wellness tools for consumers.

Bloomberg Law further notes that Curry’s team will engage with Google’s AI engineers and health experts in testing and improving future product experiences—though financial terms of the deal remain confidential.
