Stephen Curry is set to star in a new series that will stream on Peacock.
The series, Mr. Throwback will also star comedian Adam Pally and it will follow a “down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who looks for redemption by reuniting with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA legend Steph Curry,” reports say.
Curry said in an interview, “Making the natural transition from behind the camera to center stage opposite Adam Pally, we can’t wait for the world to see what we have in store.” Both Curry and Pally will also serve as executive producers on the show, under the NBA star’s Unanimous Media Banner.
This series will mark the start of Curry’s acting debut however, it won’t be the first time he’s produced a film. Last year, he teamed up with Ryan Coogler to co-produce the sports documentary Stephen Curry: Underrated. Along with Peacock picking up Mr. Throwback, the streaming service also has other projects on their lists. Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, All Her Fault, and others will also be on their platform.
