It’s been 10 hours since 28-year-old Ian Daivd Long shot and killed at least 12 people and injured dozens more at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, Calif, and the search for more victims continues as families attempt to get in touch with loved ones, including actress Tamera Mowry-Housley.
Early this morning, a Twitter user named Ashley, who goes by @amowreader on social media, posted a tweet to her account saying, “My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything #Bornderline.”

Tamera saw the tweet and responded, “Ashley this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?”
The Hollywood star then asked Ashley a series of questions pertaining to her niece, Alaina Housley, in addition to the whereabouts of others. Ashley informed Tamera that she has been in contact with Tamera’s husband, Adam Housley, and that they are still searching for her.
The L.A. Times reports Alaina is an 18-year-old freshman at Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif, which is approximately 30 minutes from Borderline. Alaina was on the floor of the bar when Long started shooting.
Adam says “two of Alaina’s suitemates jumped through a broken window to escape and are at a hospital with major wounds from the glass.” On a mission to find his niece, Adam arrived at a hospital around 3:30 am PST, but was not allowed inside because the facility is on lockdown.
Alaina’s Apple Watch and iPhone show she is still located inside the bar. This could mean one of two things: 1) Her watch and phone were left inside as she was running away with her friends or 2) She’s another one of Long’s victims.
Our prayers are with Tamera and her family, and the families of the victims affected.
