Suge Knight is not worried about Diddy and believes that he will be okay after his trial is over.
According to reports, Knight’s name came up during Cassie Ventura’s testimony. She had mentioned that one of Diddy’s “freak-offs” in Los Angeles had ended early because Knight was in the area. However, there is no record of a confrontation between the two of them.
In a new interview, Suge Knight responded to his name being dropped during the trial and said that he doesn’t think that the “Me & U” singer is lying about the things she experienced while in her relationship with the Bad Boy Records founder. He went on to say that he believes that Diddy will be okay after his trial and that he’s “not a dummy.”
“I still feel that Puffy is going to be alright and have a fair shot at it, because…he’s not a dummy. And I’m quite sure somebody is going to talk to those jurors and convince one or two of them. That’s all you need is one,” Knight said. “So at the end of the day, it’s going to be a real exciting situation. I think he’s going to be alright.”
He continued and said that even if he is convicted, he has enough pull to get a “slap on the wrist” or a pardon from Donald Trump. “I think he got some favors with the government. I think they’re going to show him a little leeway. It might not seem like it when it’s all said and done, but I don’t think he has nothing to worry about,” Knight explained. “I don’t think he’s worried because he’s going to be federal, and if he gets convicted, Trump’s going to pardon him.”
Knight added, “It’s all about, you know, what’s in it for the long run, and what the buck say, and what’s the power the people want. Trump [is] not scared.”
