Suzzanne Douglas to be honored a major way by her sorority sisters of Delta Sigma Theta.
Douglas, who passed away on July 5th, became an honorary member in 2004 and served as the Honorary Co-Chair of the National Arts & Letters Commission from 2013 to 2017.
Beverly Smith, the National President and CEO of DST, confirmed that the organization will honor Douglas with the Omega Omega service. This service is considered to be the official rite of passage and farewell for the sorority’s sisters.
Suzzanne Douglas reportedly passed away due to complications of cancer.
