SZA fans, the time has come! Many have been speculating on whether or not the singer is really going to put out new music this year. We may have just gotten our answer.

The singer took to her social media accounts to share the album art work for her upcoming album S.O.S. In the image, you can see the artist sitting on a diving board while wearing a hockey jersey and Timberland boots. This all while in the middle of the ocean. Of course, in her true fashion, none of the posts she made across her social media profiles have any caption, leaving us with a feeling of mystery.
Album Announcement
Earlier this month, the New Jersey-bred singer announced that she is ready to release her sophomore album. Her first since 2017. Although fans were excited, many were skeptical because she has a habit of teasing new music, just for fans to not receive it for months, even years.
The 33-year-old has even shared with Billboard that she is “currently stressed” about meeting the release deadline. She said she constantly struggles with the demands of being in the music business, being put on a pedestal by her fans with a five-year lapse between albums and her own personal responsibilities.
“I feel like music, in this capacity, I don’t see longevity,” she said in the interview. “I like to create, I like to write, I like to sing, and I like to share. But I don’t know if chasing after superstardom or whatever I’m supposed to be doing right now is sustainable for me or for anybody. I’ma take a good swing at it, and I’ma give ’em my absolute best.”
We are looking forward to the new album if it comes! The project is expected to drop in December.
