T.J Holmes and Amy Robach are finally addressing the rumors that have been surrounding their relationship for almost a year.
In their very first podcast episode, “Amy and T.J.”, they talked about how their relationship started and described themselves as “the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other.”
Holmes said, “That is bottom line and that is why we are here now.” Robach added that their podcast platform was the first time that they got a chance to tell their side of the story. “In the end, all of us are always rooting for love.”
She continued, “It doesn’t always happen when you want it to happen, And it’s undeniable when it’s real and it’s something you have to navigate and it’s not easy.” The conversation went on to talk about the misconceptions about their relationship and how they were falsely called adulterers although they were in the middle of their divorces from their previous partners.
“To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case because the odd thing is, the day those pictures were taken and the day that article was released, we both at that point were in divorce proceedings.”
Robach agreed and added that they went through the proper channels and even drafted a joint statement to announce the news of their relationship after their divorces were finalized, however they were unable to do so once photos of the two of them together had leaked on social media.
