Tamar Braxton may be ready to give love another chance after being celibate for a year,

Appearing on an episode of Sherri on Monday (March 26), Braxton spoke about loosening her standard of not dating again until her son Logan, 11, turns 18.

“But here’s the thing: I didn’t want to keep introducing Logan to the people that were in my life,” Braxton said. “I just want to mentally protect him as much as I can. I don’t want to give him any abandonment issues or anything like that,” said Braxton.

“So for me, as a single mother, it’s giving very much I just need to wait until the Lord brings me who the Lord wants me to be with,” she added.

Instead of being on the scene, Braxton said she hasn’t dated anyone for more than a year.

“I haven’t been dating for a year at all. Nothing. I haven’t been out. Nothing. Yeah, but now I’m ready to go outside,” Braxton explained. “And now that I’m going outside, girl, I have to be prepped up and be prepped and ready.”

In addition to her love life, Braxton is thriving in all other areas. She recently premiered her new show with mom Evelyn, Cooking Sessions with Tamar & Ms. E, on CLEO TV on March 25.

On the music side of things, she’ll be heading on the road on the  “October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour “with October London and Ro James, beginning on April 17 at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, Va.
