Samaria Rice is furious with Shaun King.
She went off on him in an Instagram post. She called him a “selfish white man” and is upset over Shaun profiting off her son, Tamir Rice’s death. Samaria grew angry toward Shaun after he published details about a conversation they had.
Shaun posted a since-deleted podcast called, I spoke to Samaria Rice this past week. He described it as a “much-needed conversation.” Madame Noire reports, Shaun said, “ I learned a lot. Listened a lot. Shared my heart. And pledged we would continue to fight to get justice and accountability for Tamir. Samaria questioned why he needed to make that public.
In the IG post, Samaria said,
“Well, we talked, and everything that was said was very toxic and uncomfortable for me to hear that you raised additional money and then say you did not want to bother me. Personally, I don’t understand how you sleep at night. I never [permitted you] to raise nothing. Along with the united states, you robbed me for the death of my son.” At one point, she opted to describe the discussion as “a cop and donut conversation.”
She also referred to Shaun as an “untrustworthy white man acting black.” Shaun responded on his website and said Samaria “may have been misled about his efforts.”
