Target To Raise The Minimum Wage To $24 An Hour

Target is raising their minimum wage to $24 an hour for some of their positions. 

The company stated that their wages will range between $15-$24, with the intention of the highest pay to go to those in the competitive markets. 

Reports state that these new wages are a part of the company’s plan to spend an additional $300 million this year on its labor force. This plan will also include health care plans for its hourly workers. 

Brian Cornell, Target’s CEO said in a recent interview, “The market has changed. We want to continue to have an industry-leading position.
